We spent several evenings along the Singapore River and Marina Bay during our tour of the Malay peninsula. There are few cities in the world that can match Singapore’s skyline at night and there are even fewer that have such a vast amount of night time activities.

Singapore really is a city that never sleeps. As soon as the sun sets and the temperature becomes more bearable (which often means around 25°C), the city comes to life. The streets are filled with people, the restaurants are packed and you can barely find a place to sit in front of a bar.

The promenade along the Singapore River is one of the best spots to enjoy the skylines while taking a stroll or going for a late night run.

If you time your walking or running right, you can catch both the Spectra light show and the Garden Rhapsody at the Gardens by the Bay. The light shows are some of the best outdoor experiences we ever had. Can’t recommend them enough.
