At a glance
Our trip in Japan back in 2017 was the first time we stepped outside of Europe. And it proved to be a fundamental shift in how we see the world. Since then we visited so many more countries outside of Europe, but Japan remains still has a special place in our hearts.
Each year in March and April, the cherry blossom season blooms in Japan, turning the streets and parks into a sea of pink. This comes with a price though, as the country is packed with tourists and the prices are sky high during that time.
While the classic Japan tour includes places around Tokyo, Mount Fuji and the temples of Kyoto, we really recommend venturing outside of the main tourist areas to experience a more authentic Japan.
