At a glance
Vietnam spans over 2000km north to south and packs so many interesting cultural and natural sights that it’s impossible to cover it all in a single trip.
Our first taste of Vietnam was back in 2018 when we spent some time in the north of the country and then moved south. The contrast between the somewhat rigid and culturally rich Hanoi and the business oriented and fast-paced Ho Chi Minh City comes quite as a surprise if you’re visiting Vietnam for the first time.
The second visit came in 2026 when we used Da Nang as the base for exploring the central region while enjoying the sunny beaches and relaxing during our latest south-east Asia trip.
The people in Vietnam are incredibly friendly and welcoming and there’s something authentic about wandering around their beautiful country which you don’t find in many other places around the world.
The food alone would be reason enough to go back. It’s probably our favorite cuisine as of 2026. And we’ll make sure to explore more of this beautiful country in the future.
