Situated in one of the most important shipping choke points of the world, in the strait of Malacca, Singapore a major port and financial center, a real hub for the entire region.

The city is unlike any other place in Southeast Asia. It’s a melting pot of cultures, languages and cuisines, all packed into a small island. We arrived here for the first time in 2023 and we loved the city so much that we made it part of our last trip to Southeast Asia in 2026.

Singapore is one of those cities that hits you immediately — spotless streets, tropical heat, and a skyline that looks like it was designed for night photography. The famous Marina Bay Sands towers and Gardens by the Bay achiveved world-wide landmark recognition, merely years after being built.

Beyond the modern skyline, Singapore packs a lot of green parks and animal sanctuaries and a few historical neighbourhoods that tell the story of the city from different perspectives. And of course the different cultures that call Singapore home are well represented in the food and architecture of the city.
